Prerequisites

wzPASS is a Windows application running on the .NET v.2 framework. You must download and install Microsoft .NET v.2 framework runtime before trying to install wzPASS.

Of course to read your ePassport you'll need a contactless reader. wzPASS has been tested with PC/SC contactless readers from OMNIKEY and with Pro-Active CSB and SpringProx devices.

The following ZIP file is the complete wzPASS project. This is a C# project using Sharp Develop IDE. The installer has been made with Inno Setup

• OpenJPEG is an open-source implementation of the JPEG2000 codec, used by wzPASS to display the pictures. I've made a really simple DLL (j2ktobmp.dll) that exports only the JPEG2000 to bitmap conversion in a convenient way. You can download the project here (Microsoft Visual 6 project, C language).

Feedback and support

Although I've done my best to provide a fully working software and not a beta version, it is totally impossible to test wzPASS with every kind of passport and every contactless reader available on the market.
